Terms of use
In short: SlowRushLab is free, it is provided as is, and we do everything we reasonably can to keep it secure and private.

A free service
SlowRushLab is a free platform for families, at no cost. There are no fees, no subscriptions, no hidden charges and no paid tiers behind the features you use every day. It is not funded by advertising or by selling your data either.
Provided as is, without warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied: we do not guarantee that it will run without interruption, that it will be free of errors, that it fits any particular purpose, or that it will be available at all times. You can stop using it whenever you like and download or delete your data from Privacy & data.
We do our utmost on security
We take every reasonable measure to protect your information: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) at all times, passwords and PINs stored with Argon2id (never in plain text), encrypted backups, strict isolation between families, a hardened server with no internet access from the application, and regular security reviews. Even so, no system is infallible: we cannot absolutely guarantee that an incident will never happen.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, loss of profit, or harm arising from the use of — or inability to use — the service. As this is a free service, our liability is in any case limited to what applicable law strictly requires.
Stars are not money
SlowRushLab is an educational tool. Stars and their money equivalent are a household record: the application does not move, hold or transfer real money, it is not a payment service or a financial institution, and it stores no bank or card details. Payment, if any, happens outside the application between the adult and the child.
Accounts and children
The account is always created by an adult, who is responsible for the family space and the profiles created in it. Children have no internet account: they are a profile inside their family space. The adult decides which chores, which values and which data are entered.
Proper use
The service is offered for family and personal use. It may not be used for unlawful purposes, to attempt to access other families’ data, to overload or attack the infrastructure, or to enter offensive content or content that infringes third-party rights. We may suspend a family space that breaches these terms.
Price
The family version is free, with no time limit and nothing held back: no ads, no data selling and no paid tier hiding features. Schools and organisations are a different matter — running a centre needs support and dedicated work — so that version is paid, per student and month, with a trial period first. If a centre stops paying, its space becomes read-only: everything can still be viewed and exported, but nothing is written. Nothing is ever deleted because of an unpaid bill, and the school is billed, never the families.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect improvements to the service or legal changes. If a change is significant, we will let you know inside the application. Continuing to use SlowRushLab after a change means accepting the version in force.
Website visits: we count how many pages are viewed and in which language, using a daily fingerprint that cannot follow anyone from one day to the next. No IP address is stored and the count stays with us: it is shared with nobody.
Service emails (sign-up, password recovery and security notices) are sent by our own server, with no external provider in between. No child data is ever sent, there is no advertising and we do not know whether the email was opened.
